If you've never used it before, nutritional yeast has a nutty taste that can be used to add flavour to sauces, salads, vegan cheeses, and crackers. Whether it's yellow or beige, in soft flakes or ""sprinkle"" form, it's rich in B vitamins - specifically vitamin B12, which is particularly important in a vegan diet. It also is a good source of fibre and amino acids. No need to run out and buy a fish-shaped cookie cutter when you try this recipe - we made these shapes with just the tip of a knife!
