Turmeric Roasted Cashews

Cashews are as good seasoned and roasted as they are raw. To make this delicious and portable snack, all you need is some turmeric, sesame seeds and chili powder. They also make a great topping for salads and can chopped and used to add texture to soups. They'll keep for up to 10 days in a sealed container, but we bet you'll finish them long before that!

How it's Made:


  • 2 cups of
  • 1/2 tablespoon of virgin coconut oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground turmeric


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Use a mortar and pestle to crush and mix the salt, sesame seeds, chili powder and turmeric. 
  3. In a bowl, mix the cashews, coconut oil and spice mix. 
  4. Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet covered in parchment paper and bake for 5 to 10 minutes. 
  5. Let cool completely before enjoying!
