Preparing for a long day of work, or planning to get to the library super early to study? Having trouble making a healthy breakfast every day? Perhaps you're looking for the perfect snack for your kids' lunchbox? Overnight oats are a great way to help you save time, and can be personalized any number of ways according to your taste. All you need is a base of oats, chia seeds, almond milk and a drizzle of maple syrup, and then add whatever toppings you're craving: nuts, berries, banana purée, seeds, or nut butters. There's enough variations that you'll never tire of it!

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup of oats (or rice flakes, spelt flakes, or quinoa flakes)
  • 2 tablespoons of
  • 1 tablespoon of agave syrup or maple syrup
  • 5 (or the nut of your choice)
  • 1/4 cup of fresh blueberries
  • Homemade almond milk

Directions

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a Mason jar, adding the almond milk last. Shake vigorously and let sit in the refrigerator overnight.
  2. Enjoy for breakfast the next morning with the topping of your choice.
