We love homemade almond milk for how easy and delicious it is. Homemade almond milk is nothing like the almond milk you'll find in stores. It's richer, fresher, and naturally has a tasty true almond flavour! When you make your own almond milk, you're more aware of the process, the product, and the by-product of your recipe. You don't need much more than water and almonds to make a delicious almond milk at home. Soaking makes the process easier, but it can be skipped if you're in a pinch for time, just make sure you rinse them before adding them to your food processor. If desired, add maple syrup or dates as a sweetener, or even some vanilla extract to add flavour! Once the base of the almond milk is ready, you can add ingredients of your choice to create different types of almond milk. Try cacao, coffee, or our favorite: Matcha tea!

How It's Made

  • 1 cup of
  • 5 cups of filtered water
  • 1 pinch of sea salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon of maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons of good quality Matcha tea powder

  1. Soak the almonds for 4 hours or overnight. Rinse and drain them.
  2. Mix the almonds and the water in your food processor at high speed for about a minute.
  3. Filter with a nut milk filter. Press the nut milk bag well to remove as much milk as possible. Pour the milk back into the food processor.
  4. Add the salt, maple syrup, and the Matcha tea powder and mix for a few seconds.
