Machu Pichu Oat Cookies

How It's Made

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 5 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil
  • 3 tablespoons
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground vanilla or vanilla essence
  • The zest of a lemon
  • 1 cup finely ground rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • A pinch of sea salt" product_sku="FAD-060-UN-G"}}

  • 1/4 cup

Directions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread Machu Pichu mix on a cutting board, remove the nuts and cut them into small pieces. Put aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the almond butter, maple syrup, coconut oil, chia seeds, vanilla pods and lemon zest.
  4. In another bowl, mix all other ingredients and then incorporate to previous mix.
  5. With the help of a small ice cream scoop (or tablespoon), make 8 cookies on the sheet, separating each by at least 2 inches.
  6. Cook for 10 to 13 minutes or until golden. Be sure not to overcook, as to avoid drying them out.
  7. Remove from oven and let sit 5 minutes before placing on a cooling rack with the help of a spatula.
