Our organic 70% dark chocolate chunks have an exceptionally rich cocoa flavour with a delicate hint of vanilla.

Dark chocolate is as addictive as it is good for you! It’s rich in minerals like iron, magnesium, zinc, copper and manganese. It’s also packed with antioxidants - studies show it contains more than açai berries, blueberries and red wine! It’s a true feel-good food that contains anandamide, which offers a sense of well-being, as well as tryptophan, which helps regulate your mood.

We sourced the best organic chocolate with the help of a trusted supplier that supports fair labour practices and has helped cacao farmers sustainably increase the yield of their farms, improve the quality of their beans and earn a better living.

These organic dark chocolate chuks will delight dessert lovers with their intense flavour. It's a perfect chocolate for snacking and baking, but also great on its own in homemade trail mixes, granolas and oatmeal. Use our 70% dark chocolate chunks in all your chocolate recipes and enjoy the many benefits and the fine taste of our chocolate!

History

The history of chocolate begins in Mesoamerica, where the Olmec (1500-400 BC) discovered cacao and consumed it as a drink by adding water and spices to the ground cacao beans.

Cacao soon became a staple in the diets of the Mayans and Aztecs, where it was used as currency as well as a unit of measurement. Often cacao was presented as an offering to the gods during religious ceremonies.

The first chocolate to appear was in the sixteenth century when cacao was brought to Europe, and mixed with sugar and vanilla or cinnamon. Chocolate soon became a delicacy enjoyed by the royal courts. It was in England during the nineteenth century that the first commercial chocolates were created by mixing cocoa powder, cocoa butter and sugar.

Simply a must have! Written By: Alessia
There’s no denying that I am a chocoholic, although I mostly manage to restrain myself. These are a must-have in my pantry as they come in handy in place of chocolate drops (in fact I actually prefer this shape) for muffins, granola and cereals (I don’t usually buy the pre-mixed ones, they are too sugary for my taste), oatmeal and even just by the spoon every once in a while.
The sweetness/bitterness is just right and fits all my needs and I love the big package (not that is lasts long enough, mind you!).
I haven’t had the chance yet, but I would say they can be quite convenient for those recipe that require chopped chocolate.
