Flax and Chia Seed Crackers

Servings 20 crackers
A healthy and nutritious alternative to store-bought crackers!

How It's Made


  • 1 cup ground flax seeds
  • 1/4 cup hemp seeds
  • 1/4 cup whole black chia seeds
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons dried herbs of your choice (parsley, thyme, rosemary)
  • Sea salt and freshly ground pepper to taste


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together all the dry ingredients.
  3. Add water and mix quickly.
  4. Spread mixture evenly with a spatula on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. The dough should be about half a centimeter thick.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove the mixture from the oven and cut into square or triangle shapes with a knife. Bake for another 10 minutes.
  7. Remove crackers, flip them, and bake for 15 more minutes or until you reach your desired texture.
  8. Let cool for 20 minutes.

Step 7: The crackers are still too soggy to remove, and flip them. I had to add another 10 minutes and they still were a bit soggy.
