Beet, Raspberry and Hemp Smoothie

With its bright pink colour, this smoothie is as delicious as it looks. Hemp seeds are a great source of protein and blending them up in a smoothie is a great way to get your daily fix.


How It's Made


  • 1 beet
  • 2 cups of filtered water
  • 2 tablespoons of
  • 1 1/2 cup of raspberries
  • The juice of 1/2 lemon
  • A quarter of an avocado
  • 2
  • Freshly grated ginger to taste


  1. Peel and cut the beet into small pieces (or grate). We recommend using gloves for this step as the pigment can dye your hands.
  2. Grate the ginger and remove the pits from the dates.
  3. In a high speed blender mix all ingredients together until smooth.

LOVE the deep red color and healthy taste! Replaced the hemp seeds with chia seeds, and didn't have dates so I used maple syrup. Would have this a couple of times a week, wondering if I can make a big batch and refrigerate/freeze some? Or will it lose its vitamin/nutritional properties?
